About The Position

Innomotics is seeking a Motor Technician to support its Kansas City Facility. The role involves working on electrical and mechanical apparatus, including AC and DC motors and generators, performing repair work where standard procedures or manufacturing specifications may not be available. The technician must become a member of the local collective bargaining unit upon hire and will guide and direct assisting personnel.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working in a related field.
• Completion of a high school diploma.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• High working skill knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and machine shop activities.
• Knowledge of established layout and wiring practices.
• Must become a member of the local collective bargaining unit upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience.
• Experience with electrical systems.
• Hydraulic experience.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, repair, connect, reassemble, and test complex electrical and mechanical apparatus when general methods and procedures are not clearly defined.
• Wind, insulate, and connect AC and DC motors, generators, and other electrical apparatus when procedures or manufacturing information and specifications may not be available; plan and diagnose repairs as needed.
• Guide and direct the efforts of assisting personnel.
