About The Position

The primary focus of this position is to monitor Compliance, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and Flood on all 1-4 family and subordinate mortgages. This role involves reviewing loan closing documents, HMDA reportable loans, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The position also requires preparing department reports, assisting with training, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Two years of related banking experience OR an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Precise attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively monitor accuracy of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data originating from the Mortgage Lending area by performing loan level reviews, including but not limited to validating and analyzing the collection of loan data, participating in the preparation of the HMDA LAR, researching and resolving HMDA exceptions and recommending process improvements for training purposes.
  • Perform Post Closing Reviews of all loans originated and denied/withdrawn loan requests.
  • Proof loan documents to ensure compliance on all loans types prior to origination.
  • Prepare department reports documenting results of reviews as required.
  • Maintain general familiarity with compliance laws and regulatory requirements to ensure department initiatives and product offerings are in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating all department training related to compliance initiatives which result in new or modified policies, procedures, or processes.
  • Assist Mortgage Administration Supervisor and Mortgage Software Administrator in review of software updates for compliance and implementation of new documents.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding all employee and customer issues and information.
  • Responsible for promoting the organization in the community through participation in various civic and community events, activities, committees, and organizations.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the organization by promoting teamwork, open communication and leveraging opportunities as they relate to all entities of Bravera Holdings Corp.
  • Adhere to all banking rules and regulations, including but not limited to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. In addition, the employee will be proactive in the prevention of illegal activities, will vigilantly look for activities that may constitute any type of fraud including money laundering and will report any suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.
