About The Position
FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Marion County, West Virginia, and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule. As a Field Inspector, you will conduct brief, exterior visits to confirm property status and report on general conditions. The position emphasizes autonomy, allowing you to manage your own routing, schedule, and territory. Inspections are designed for speed, typically requiring only 5-6 minutes on-site, and offer stable, month-to-month volume in your assigned county. The role involves determining property occupancy status using industry-standard indicators, capturing photos, and submitting reports via mobile applications, while maintaining high reliability for territory coverage and deadlines. This role requires significant driving and making numerous stops throughout the day in a territory that includes suburban and rural areas.
Requirements
- Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
- Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
- Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
