Mortgage Operations Assistant
About The Position
Corda Credit Union is hiring a Mortgage Operations Assistant to join their Cedar Rapids office. This role will support the Operations Team by providing internal and external mortgage loan processing assistance and ensuring full compliance throughout every stage of the mortgage loan process. The position involves various tasks related to first and second mortgages, home equity loans, and loan origination and servicing. Key responsibilities include compliance analysis of mortgage loan files, processing and servicing mortgages, tracking mortgage servicing areas, communicating with members verbally and in writing, problem resolution, and research support. The role requires attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities
- Provide internal and external mortgage loan processing assistance.
- Ensure full compliance throughout every stage of the mortgage loan process.
- Handle various tasks related to first, second mortgage, home equity, and loan origination and servicing.
- Perform compliance analysis of mortgage loan files.
- Process and service mortgages.
- Track mortgage servicing areas.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with members.
- Provide problem resolution and research support.
- File reports.
- Balance GLs.
- Ensure document retention as needed.
- Handle inquiries thoroughly and professionally.
