About The Position

Become a Mortgage Loan Support Assistant at Lake Area Mortgage, a division of Royal Credit Union. In this role, you will assist Mortgage Loan Officers in the origination and processing of residential mortgage and lot loans, manage loan pipelines, and deliver exceptional service to Members and partners. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred to support our diverse member base. You will be responsible for assisting assigned Mortgage Loan Officers in the origination of residential mortgage loans as well as lot loans by completing all processes after the basic application is completed. You may complete loan applications with Members as needed. You will convey policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines and meet Mortgage Loan scheduling and documentation requirements, and production expectations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous experience working in a financial institution or other related sales/customer service position
Must be bondable upon hire
Valid Driver’s License and insured vehicle
Working knowledge of financial services, mortgage origination, and processing, including understanding loan programs, guidelines, and Downpayment Assistance Programs.
Strong sense of Member service, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to build professional relationships with Members, Realtors, and building professionals.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to coordinate multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and manage a high-volume workload.
Analytical and critical thinking skills to make decisions regarding complex daily work, resolve recurring problems, and ensure compliance with policies.
Proficient in using computers and various software packages; able to learn new technologies and adapt to changing processes and priorities.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Spanish language proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting assigned Mortgage Loan Officers in the origination of residential mortgage loans as well as lot loans by completing all processes after the basic application is completed.
Completing loan applications with Members as needed.
Conveying policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines.
Meeting Mortgage Loan scheduling and documentation requirements, and production expectations as determined by the Mortgage Sales Manager.
Managing loan pipelines.
Delivering exceptional service to Members and partners.
