About The Position

At Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU), the Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist I supports the Loan Servicing department with administrative and member-service tasks related to the administration and management of loans after origination. The position represents SCCU by providing service to members and internal Team Members. It is hybrid, with two days per week required in the office at Baytree Headquarters. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of prior experience in a financial institution or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Loan Servicing experience or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Correct loans as needed by adjusting rates, terms, and payment-posting errors to maintain accurate member loan histories.
• Assist with maintaining insurance tracking and collateral securitization and release.
• Answer incoming calls in a phone queue and make outbound calls.
• Process miscellaneous department check transactions, including payments, payoffs, and check disbursements.
• Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries about loan accounts and related matters.
• Resolve basic issues and escalate complex cases to senior Team Members as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure loan records are accurate and complete.
