About The Position

Jolt Credit Union is looking for a detail-oriented, people-focused Mortgage Loan Servicer / Escrow Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in delivering on our service promise by ensuring accuracy, clear communication, and proactive support, especially when members need guidance navigating payment challenges or escrow changes. In this role, you’ll manage loan servicing activities, oversee escrow accounts, and act as a trusted resource for members with questions about their mortgage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of credit union or financial institution operations experience preferred
  • Mortgage product and servicing knowledge strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and lending software.
  • Experience with job-related computer systems and ability to learn new platforms
  • Must meet Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Process and apply mortgage payments accurately and on time
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for member questions, concerns, and account support
  • Proactively communicate with members regarding missed payments and provide solutions to help them stay on track
  • Assist with loan modifications, home equity loan rewrites, and alternative solutions to foreclosure (e.g., short sales, deeds in lieu)
  • Monitor and manage escrow accounts, including annual escrow analysis, payment of property taxes and insurance, and insurance tracking and force-placed coverage
  • Coordinate with tax authorities, insurance providers, and third-party vendors
  • Support insurance claims and property preservation processes when needed
  • Answer member inquiries related to statements, balances, and credit union services
  • Originate mortgage applications and support the loan process as needed
  • Sell closed loans to investors and complete required balancing and reconciliation activities
  • Assist with quality control (QC) reviews, servicing audits, and other internal or external audits as required
  • Must satisfy all requirements of the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and complete the registration process as needed.
