Role: To assist the Mortgage Loan Originator/MLO with the mortgage loan application process from origination to clear to close from underwriting. This role involves collecting, verifying, and analyzing member information and documentation to ensure compliance with lending guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

  • One to three years of similar or related experience.
  • A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Ten key calculator, typewriter and keyboard skills.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly.
  • Must adhere to safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews residential loan application for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary documentation is included to submit to underwriting for approval.
  • Orders required documentation including title, homeowner’s insurance and flood certifications, appraisals, and any credit verifications needed for underwriting approval.
  • Communicates with the Mortgage Closer, MLO and Mortgage Operations Supervisor on expected closing dates and times.
  • Enter and maintain accurate loan information in the Loan Operating System/LOS
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
