About The Position

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for accurately managing residential loan documentation through our established systems and reviewing it to ensure that it is completed in full and complies with current banking regulations and policies. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays on a rotating basis.

Requirements

Experienced Mortgage Loan Processor
Ability to accurately manage residential loan documentation
Knowledge of current banking regulations and policies
Proficiency in Word and EXCEL software

Nice To Haves

Experience with credit union mortgage products
Familiarity with data processing systems and loan origination systems

Responsibilities

Process mortgage loan files, including clearing liens, judgments, and flood certificates.
Review appraisals for accuracy and confirm they meet secondary marketing guidelines.
Run and review automated underwriting systems findings before sending to underwriters.
Review all supporting documents in mortgage files (income, assets, liabilities, title) to ensure they meet underwriting standards.
Assemble loan files in the mortgage loan origination system for submission to underwriting.
Request supporting documentation from third parties, including ordering tax transcripts.
Update the loan origination system as verifications are received from members and vendors.
Clear non-member facing underwriting conditions imposed by underwriters.
Maintain a working knowledge of all credit union mortgage products.
Develop a working knowledge of the credit union’s data processing system, loan origination system, Word, and EXCEL software.
