About The Position

The Mortgage Loan Officer - Retail provides customer service to each customer and develops mortgage loan business through internal and external referral sources. The role builds and maintains business relationships within the community and advises clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products using consultative selling techniques.

The Mortgage Loan Officer supports customers from approval through closing, working with loan origination sources to obtain and verify information required for underwriting. The role also maintains client relationships and advises customers on completing loan applications. The position is office-based; specific work arrangements are provided by the hiring team. The employer does not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of mortgage loan origination experience; preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products, including conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio programs.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• PC and Internet skills.

Responsibilities
