About The Position

Better is rebuilding home finance as an AI-native platform, aiming to make the process faster and more transparent. This role is a high-volume, inbound sales position within the growing Sales team, focused on delivering a superior home financing experience. You will work directly with motivated borrowers, guiding them through significant financial decisions without cold calling. The role also offers the chance to contribute customer insights to product and process improvements.

Requirements

Active NMLS license in at least 3 states
At least 2 years of mortgage loan origination experience
Based in or able to work within the Troy, Michigan area
Strong understanding of mortgage products, pricing, and regulatory guidelines
Proven ability to convert leads and perform in a metrics-driven, high-volume sales environment
Excellent communication, consultative selling, and relationship-building skills
High ownership mindset with a drive to exceed targets
Ability to think critically and navigate complex borrower scenarios

Responsibilities

Engage with warm transfer and inbound leads from homebuyers and refinancers
Guide borrowers through loan options and help them make informed financial decisions
Own your pipeline from consultation through lock and funding
Maximize conversion rates across leads, locks, and funded loans
Build strong relationships with borrowers and referral partners
Partner cross-functionally with operations, underwriting, and product teams to ensure fast, smooth closings
Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales targets
