The Mortgage Final Document Specialist performs a formal review and inspection of all final loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness within the designated time period. They contact the appropriate party for timely delivery of all final loan documentation, perform data entry of appropriate data elements into the current tracking system, and complete necessary forms and reports to track the final documentation process. The specialist also reviews final documentation for compliance with investor/guarantor requirements, facilitates the correction of any identified exceptions, and communicates with title agents, recording offices, lenders, and borrowers until exceptions are cleared. Additionally, they perform quality control reviews to verify document inclusion in shipments and ensure final documentation is forwarded to the appropriate destination, and prepare documents for execution to meet required standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three or more years of mortgage experience

Responsibilities

• Performs a formal review and inspection of all final loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness within the designated time period.
• Contacts the appropriate party for timely delivery of all final loan documentation.
• Performs data entry of appropriate data elements from the documents into current tracking system and completes necessary forms and reports to track final documentation process.
• Reviews final documentation for compliance with investor/guarantor requirements.
• Facilitates the correction of any exception identified during the review process.
• Communicates with title agents, recording offices, lenders and borrowers until the exception have been cleared.
• Performs a quality control review to verify that all documents on the shipping transmittal are included in the current shipment and ensures final documentation is forwarded to the appropriate final destination.
• Prepare documents for execution, ensure they meet the required standards.
