About The Position

The Mortgage AI Solutions Specialist helps Mortgage apply AI and automation to everyday processes and reporting, while aligning with the AI Program Office. • Ability to research business processes and supporting technology and explain findings in plain business language.
  • Process mapping, requirements gathering, and testing skills.

  • Genuine interest in AI, safe experimentation, and sharing findings.
  • Willingness to learn Mortgage through time spent with the team in daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how the assigned line of business performs core processes and identify opportunities for AI and automation.
  • Independently investigate Mortgage processes and constraints; recommend suitable process improvements, conventional automation, or AI approaches.
  • Research enterprise platforms, vendor products, and emerging tools, including embedded features, add-ons, licensing models, and roadmaps.
  • Plan and execute scoped proofs of concept and pilots using representative workflows and permitted data; document findings, limitations, and recommendations.
  • Work with business users to understand constraints and map current-state processes, decision points, handoffs, and data flows.
  • Translate Mortgage priorities and user needs into scoped solution designs, delivery and configuration plans, and process changes consistent with AI Program Office standards and required reviews.
  • Define future-state workflows and acceptance criteria, including exceptions, human approvals, fallback procedures, escalation, and control requirements.
  • Plan, configure, build, and deploy scoped AI and automation solutions on approved platforms and low-code tools; seek coaching and technical support for complex or unfamiliar work and complete required reviews and approvals.
  • Develop prompts, agents, workflows, and integrations that meet requirements and respect source-system and user permissions.
  • Perform functional testing, including representative exceptions and failures; support user acceptance testing and resolve defects through go-live.
  • Communicate progress, resolve routine delivery issues, and escalate risks, dependencies, and decisions beyond agreed scope or authority.
  • Partner with IT, data, security, and vendor teams on integration, access, and environment needs.
  • Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, test evidence, and runbooks for each delivered solution.
  • Complete enterprise AI governance documentation and required Risk, Compliance, and Information Security reviews before sensitive-data use, new integrations, or production deployment; involve Risk before solutions influence customer decisions.
  • Monitor deployed solutions for performance, accuracy, drift, and user-reported issues, and implement corrections.
  • Provide user training, office hours, and enablement materials to support adoption.
  • Capture reusable patterns, prompts, components, and templates for future delivery.
  • Measure baseline and post-delivery effort, quality, adoption, and cost as relevant; use results and feedback to recommend improvements, scaling, or retirement with Mortgage leadership and the AI Program Office.
