About The Position

This position offers an exciting opportunity to build your career within Manulife Bank’s Residential Secured Lending space as part of the Mortgage Funding and Broker Support team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience managing and administering residential mortgages from inception through activation, developing a strong understanding of the end‑to‑end mortgage funding lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to review legal mortgage documentation, funding processes, and operational controls, while collaborating closely with internal partners, broker channels and legal partners. Requirements

  • General knowledge of residential mortgage business and mortgage underwriting practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, such as Word and Excel.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous banking experience is an asset.
  • Experience in real estate law and mortgage-related provincial legislation.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
  • Ability to work overtime during peak times.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and administer new mortgage business and process the related financial transactions.
  • Address routine queries from internal and external customers.
  • Maintain control of all security/property documents.
  • Ensure accuracy in preparing and processing all mortgage-related transactions.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Assist with post funding execution of legal amendments required for the land title office
