About The Position

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for a Lead Montessori Educator opportunity with a well-established Montessori school in Sanford, FL. This is a direct hire opportunity for an experienced educator who can serve as a strong classroom leader, curriculum guide, and key instructional presence within the school community. The school is seeking an experienced Montessori educator who possesses exceptional classroom leadership, deep Montessori knowledge, and the confidence to lead with structure, consistency, and authority. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a focused, respectful, and academically rigorous learning environment across a multi-age classroom setting. This is not a traditional teaching role. The ideal candidate will serve as a foundational presence within the school, someone capable of stepping into a leadership role within the classroom, guiding fellow educators in Montessori philosophy and curriculum execution, and supporting students across a broad academic spectrum. A particular emphasis is being placed on advanced mathematics instruction. The ideal candidate will be highly confident teaching mathematics through upper middle school and early high school levels (including Algebra, Geometry and higher-level concepts), while also being comfortable managing and engaging students ranging from approximately 1st through 5th grade within a Montessori environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field
  • Proven classroom teaching experience with strong long-term tenure
  • Exceptional classroom management and leadership abilities
  • Experience working within multi-age educational environments
  • Strong mathematics background with ability to teach advanced concepts confidently
  • Ability to command respect and maintain structure while building positive relationships with students

Nice To Haves

  • Montessori certification and/or extensive Montessori classroom experience
  • Deep understanding of Montessori philosophy, curriculum, and instructional methodology
  • Experience mentoring or guiding other educators
  • Experience teaching upper-level mathematics

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain a structured, respectful, and highly effective classroom environment
  • Utilize strong classroom management skills to establish clear expectations, accountability, and consistency
  • Serve as a leadership presence within the school and support fellow teachers in Montessori methodology and curriculum implementation
  • Guide students across varying academic and developmental levels within a multi-age classroom setting
  • Deliver engaging and individualized instruction while maintaining academic rigor
  • Teach and support advanced mathematics concepts through approximately grades 10-12
  • Foster student independence, responsibility, confidence, and critical thinking
  • Collaborate with school leadership and staff to maintain alignment with Montessori philosophy and educational standards
  • Maintain a calm, organized, and intentional classroom environment conducive to focused learning
  • Monitor academic progress and adapt instruction to support varying learning styles and needs
