The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking individuals to collect crop and livestock information from farm and ranch operators and agricultural industry representatives. Data collection involves both phone and in-person interviews. This information is crucial for making estimates of agricultural data, which are then utilized by producers, buyers, and state and federal governments. This is a part-time, intermittent position with flexible days and hours. All necessary training will be provided, and no prior experience is required, though an agriculture background is helpful. Applicants must possess basic computer skills and will be provided with an iPad for work. Being multilingual is a plus but not mandatory. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance. The role specifically targets individuals from Roosevelt County. Most surveys conducted are voluntary for the operator, and while you are not selling anything, rejection is a part of the job. This role is not suitable for individuals with full-time or rigid part-time jobs or commitments that would prevent them from working when needed, as it cannot be performed exclusively at night or on weekends. Enumerators are expected to have good people skills, be friendly, pleasant, and maintain a positive attitude, even when facing rejection. A background check is required for this position.
