The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking individuals to collect crop and livestock information from farm and ranch operators and agricultural industry representatives. Data collection involves both phone and in-person interviews. The gathered information is used to generate estimates of agricultural data, which are then utilized by producers, buyers, and state and federal governments. This is a part-time and intermittent role with flexible days and hours. All necessary training will be provided. While most surveys are voluntary for operators, enumerators must be prepared for rejections. This position is not suitable for individuals with full-time or rigid part-time commitments, as it cannot be performed exclusively at night or on weekends; availability during required work periods is essential. Successful enumerators will possess strong people skills, be friendly, pleasant, and maintain a positive attitude, even when facing rejection.
