About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Monogastric Nutritionist to join our FNL team in Winnipeg. This role acts as a key bridge between our on-farm Monogastric Nutrition team across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Montana, and our day-to-day office-based nutrition support. You will play a critical role in delivering accurate, timely, and practical nutrition solutions that support both our internal teams and our customers. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A true passion for agriculture
  • Master’s or PhD in Animal Nutrition, with a focus on Swine and/or Poultry
  • 2-3+ years of working experience in a nutritionist role
  • Experience in swine and poultry management, herd health, flock health, and marketplace knowledge
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver results quickly and efficiently and work collaboratively within a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Brill or BestMix is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Develop and balance rations, diets, and premix formulations using Brill/Bestmix software
  • Manage and triage formulation requests, ensuring timely turnaround
  • Maintain accurate customer records, assay inputs, and formulation data
  • Communicate completed rations clearly with internal teams
  • Translate field insights into practical feeding programs
  • Adjust formulations based on ingredient availability, cost, and performance goals
  • Evaluate and incorporate new ingredients
  • Support troubleshooting and escalate formulation or ingredient issues
  • Provide nutritional expertise to sales and internal teams
  • Review formulations and recommend improvements
  • Maintain the Prescription Sales Database and support regulatory compliance (training provided)
  • Maintain accurate formulation records across systems (Brill/Bestmix, Sage, Beta Raven)
  • Ensure alignment between production and costing formulations
  • Manage tags, records, and field trial data
  • Support customer inquiries and walk-in interactions
  • Participate in presentations, trade shows, and industry events
  • Contribute to technical publications and internal knowledge sharing
  • Support product development, trials, and data analysis
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Stay current on industry trends, ingredients, and technologies
  • Support compliance with CFIA, GMP, and HACCP requirements
  • Assist with product and ingredient registrations
