Dietitian Nutritionist
About The Position
Sodexo is seeking an enthusiastic Dietitian Nutritionist to join the inpatient care team at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven hospital environment where you can make an immediate impact on patient care and practice at the top of your license with order-writing privileges. The position is suitable for both new graduates and experienced dietitians, providing a supportive team, varied clinical experiences, and strong opportunities for growth. Experience in a NICU setting is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in MD (or eligible)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Be a self-starter and a team player
- Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (for those eligible for the registration exam after 1/1/24)
- Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (for those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24)
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a NICU setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
- Have order-writing privileges
- Precept dietetic interns
- Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
