About The Position

Central Carolina Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Monitor Technician to support patient care through continual surveillance of multiple monitors. The role involves identifying significant arrhythmias, signs of patient distress, artifacts, and changes in patient condition, and communicating findings to nursing staff. The technician also tests equipment to ensure it is in proper working order. The position is full-time and in-person.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Handle with Care (HWC) certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identify significant arrhythmias and signs of patient distress, and intervene appropriately.
• Identify and correct artifacts.
• Report abnormal assessment and telemetry findings, or changes in patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions, to nursing staff.
• Test equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
