Requirements

Telemetry monitoring system knowledge
Knowledge of escalating medical emergency and Code Blue process

Responsibilities

Documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips at intervals and with patient changes.
Performs independent check of strips to include: time, PR interval measurement, QRS measurement, QT measurement, ectopy and baseline rhythm.
Assigns telemetry monitoring as ordered by physician.
Effectively communicates telemetry-related patient information to members of the health care team.
Continuously checks telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper working order.
Demonstrates knowledge of escalating medical emergency and Code Blue process.
May perform relevant duties as needed.
