About The Position

The Molding Supervisor directs a team of molding employees in production, safety, and quality. The role assigns and organizes work, trains employees, and maintains a productive work environment to meet established production schedules. The supervisor oversees molding operations on an assigned shift, supports quality and cost standards, and works to maximize efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous molding experience.
• At least 2 years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work well under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
• Knowledge of TS 16949 requirements.
• Professional, mature demeanor in stressful situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, motivation, and supervisory qualities.
• Ability to manage priorities and respond effectively in critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, and coordinate molding operations on the assigned shift to meet production schedules, quality standards, and cost standards while maximizing efficiency.
• Ensure quality of work, efficient material and workflow, proper use and care of equipment and machines, and proper application of production methods.
• Organize and assign work to make effective use of employees’ knowledge, skills, and abilities, expedite work schedules, and achieve efficient performance.
• Improve plant productivity through employee training, involvement in and implementation of lean manufacturing practices, and support for Business System goals and objectives.
• Lead employee training and meetings to maintain open lines of communication.
• Evaluate work performance and counsel and coach employees to maintain safe and efficient work performance.
• Maintain focus on reducing scrap to lower production costs and reduce the possibility of shipping substandard products to customers.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized plant environment through implementation and support of 5S.
• Maintain conformance with company policies, work rules, and regulations by coaching employees and initiating disciplinary actions as required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
