Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree] or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (Any), or a related field, and one (1) year of related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept three (3) years of related work experience.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience with/in the following: Technical Molding process and validation; Medical Manufacturing; Operating molding peripheral automation equipment; Supporting molding process and machine validation activities for new product introductions and process improvements; Scientific molding, mold design and metrology; Understanding dimensional and functional impacts of molded parts on final assemblies and coordinating with R&D to assess potential risks; Completing process development to establish and test all parameter ranges prior to validation; and Reviewing equipment operations to update, amend, and create procedures based on equipment status.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise on molding process and equipment issues within the department.
  • Review output and performance data to identify production trends and daily challenges.
  • Execute Engineering Studies, EWO's (Engineering Work Orders), validations, and change control.
  • Create technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfer the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.
  • Handle top losses within the manufacturing unit, develop and implement plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) performance.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices.
