About The Position

Magellan Aerospace, Glendale specializes in the manufacturing of precision magnesium and aluminum sand castings. We have an exciting opportunity for a Molder.

Requirements

Ability to perform quality checks and inspections on molds
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical dexterity to detail and ability to stand for extended periods of time
Willingness to work in a fast-paced
Knowledge in reading and interpreting work instructions
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Good communication skills

Responsibilities

Clean and smooth molds, cores, and core boxes, and repair surface imperfections.
Assemble cores into lower sections of molds, to create mold assembly per work instructions.
Tend machines that bond cope and drag together to form completed molds.
Operate molding machines and related equipment to produce quality products.
Inspect cores for defects and report and issues to the supervisor.
Clean and maintain work area to ensure safe and efficient work environment.
Work to meet production goals and deadlines
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
Use labor tracking system on all daily functions (log in on jobs and log out)
Participate in training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge
