Mold Tech 1 - 12HR PM
About The Position
Under direct supervision, ensure the efficient operation of basic mold room equipment and machinery. This role involves setting molds, starting up and shutting down injection molding machines, and understanding their basic functions as specified by work orders or setup parameter sheets. The position requires meeting all requirements such as correct sequence, proper setup, shutdown, mold storage, and lockout-tag out procedures. Responsibilities include completing basic troubleshooting, escalating complex problems, and writing maintenance work orders for part quality and general machine issues. The Mold Tech 1 will also identify and document process parameters, such as hot runner controls.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years general manufacturing experience
- Basic knowledge of injection molding machines and associated support equipment.
- Able to identify and explain basic functions of the mold, machine HMI screens, and material loading vacuum systems.
- Demonstrates proper safe mold tool use.
- Able to identify and utilize safety features of molding cell such as E-stop locations and hot runner alarms.
