Weiss-Aug is seeking a passionate and skilled Mold Tech B to join their team. This role focuses on producing parts that meet all customer specifications at or below standard cost in a clean and safe environment, supporting the company's mission statement and vision. Weiss-Aug is a leader in precision manufacturing and innovation with advanced facilities across the U.S. and Mexico for over 50 years, specializing in high-volume metal stamping, thermoplastic molding, and value-added assembly solutions for various industries.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with Molding Technology.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Driven self-starter that works with little supervision.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
  • Team player and ability to interact effectively with all departments within the Company.
  • Good PC skills.
  • Lifting of containers weighing up to 65+ lbs.
  • Considerable time spent on feet and walking will be required.

Nice To Haves

  • ISO/QS/TS knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a work center(s) environment as it relates to the fabrication of products, which may include injection molding machines, automation, mold heaters/chillers, hot runner systems, computers, inspection equipment & vision systems.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and condition of all equipment and space within their work center(s).
  • Must be totally knowledgeable of Work center set-up procedures and understand all aspects of part process (Process adjustments, automation, major & minor inspection criteria, troubleshooting, etc).
  • Understand and use daily the Production Monitoring System (Mattec or Equiv and Press Package Documents) and support the collection of accurate and timely data.
  • Work with other departments (QA, Mold Repair, Automation, Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse, etc) to troubleshoot processes to ensure that all internal and external requirements are met.
  • Coordinate necessary resources for troubleshooting extremely complicated processes.
  • Responsible for the quality of parts being produced within the Work center(s), utilizing all required inspection devices and procedures, including visuals.
  • Promote safety, cleanliness and process policies / procedures throughout the entire Company.
  • Monitor auxiliary equipment and molding machines to ensure they stay in good working order.
  • Support the Company's mission statement and vision.
  • Stay current on new departmental related technologies through magazines, industry events, seminars, etc.
  • Participate on a team for departmental 8D’s or Customer complaints.
