About The Position

DSI - Dicks Sanitation, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscience Diesel Mechanic to join our GROWING team in Lakeville, Minnesota. This is a 2nd Shift Opportunity which includes a $2.00/hr. Shift Differential. The schedule is Monday-Thursday from 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. A $7,000 STAY ON BONUS is included. Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in mostly exclusive and secondary markets. Requirements

Valid driver's license (CDL preferred, but not required).
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
Must own personal tools.

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.
Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Utilize vehicle computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
