About The Position

This role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of tooling, including waxing of tooling in accordance with established procedures and schedules. The technician will maintain the condition of deck, hull, and small part tooling. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can learn various equipment and processes, safely use high-speed pneumatic power tools, and read drawings and specifications. Daily duties are varied and dynamic, requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness. The ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced, noisy environment while wearing required PPE is essential. Good housekeeping practices are also expected.

Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly required to work at, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs, traveling up and down stairs on a constant basis, sitting, squatting and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time - including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the work day.
Physical exertion is required.
