About The Position

Prep fiberglass part(s) by grinding, trimming, drilling, and cutting using pre-established measurements, drill guides and templates. This role involves moving parts into the grinding booth, pulling parts from molds, and using hand, power, and pneumatic tools to shape the parts according to specifications. The position also requires layout of options by reading work orders, using prints and/or overlays, and maintaining general housekeeping of tools, the work area, and the department, including managing the filter log for the dust chamber. Employees are expected to work quickly, safely, and efficiently to meet production schedules and tack times.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• General math skills required.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Continuous standing for 9 hours.
• Frequent lifting of 10-20 lbs.
• Occasional lifting of 50 lbs.
• Maximum lift of 100 lbs.
• Constant repetitive simple grasping with both hands.
• Frequent repetitive pushing/pulling with both hands.
• Frequent repetitive fine manipulation with both hands.
• Occasional bending at the waist.

Responsibilities

• Move parts into the grinding booth, pull part from mold.
• Grind, trim, drill and cut parts, using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
• Use proper equipment and processes.
• Layout of options by reading work orders, using prints and/or overlays.
• General housekeeping of tools, area, and department, this includes keeping track of the filter log for the dust chamber.
• Work quickly, safely, and efficiently to meet production schedule and tack times.
