About The Position

This position is responsible for operating moderately complex molding machines accurately and efficiently using technique cards and established setup procedures. The operator will maintain the dimensional integrity of the product, set up, monitor, and control mold machine functions, and keep dies clean during molding operations. Responsibilities also include removing wax parts from dies, inspecting for defects, trimming, cleaning wax parts, completing logs and records, and documenting any process modifications to meet production and quality standards. Additionally, the role requires adherence to safety rules, safe operation of equipment, and identification and reporting of safety problems. The operator may also train less skilled operators, handle hazardous waste, and perform other directed tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, interpret and follow specifications on Technique Cards, Process Control
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Ability to work alone with limited supervision.
  • Written language skills required.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Skill in wax molding operations, as demonstrated by three to six months of competent performance in any wax molding utility, leach tank or core/gate cleaner positions is preferred OR any equivalent combination of training and work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare tooling dies for operation.
  • Assemble, disassemble, prepare, and position tooling dies for operation; change die inserts as required.
  • Add chills and soluble per tech cards.
  • Remove and/or clean tooling after operation.
  • Operate moderately complex molding machines accurately and efficiently using technique cards and established setup procedures.
  • Maintain dimensional integrity of product.

  • Keep dies clean during molding operations.
