About The Position
We have great opportunities to earn a living in the glass industry! You will be eligible for benefits after thirty (30) days and you will be represented by the United Steelworkers after sixty (60) days. There is a $1,000 attendance bonus opportunity for 60 days of perfect attendance. Schedules are swing shift in order to support glass forming 24/7.
Requirements
- Must have own personal tools as required.
- Verbal and written instructions and some blueprint reading.
- Maintain mold equipment within established specification and tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Perform the polishing, plating, pasting, cleaning, and handling activities for all molds and mold related equipment.
- Transport, move and stage mold equipment as required.
- Inspect, gauge, and reassemble all plunger rings and neck rings.
- Check all plungers and rings for leaks using water and air.
- Make casts.
- Disassemble molds and mold equipment to be scrapped.
- Maintain inventory records.
- Communicate all changes and problems as they occur to the shift supervisor or designate.
- Maintain quality housekeeping and good safety practices in the work area.
- Do other work as required by supervision.
