About The Position

QualDerm Partners is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our Greensboro, NC team. We are a leading dermatology group committed to providing exceptional patient care in skin cancer treatment and aesthetic services. As a Medical Assistant in our Mohs Surgery department, you will play a key role in supporting surgical procedures and ensuring patients receive the best care possible.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a surgical or dermatology setting, preferably with Mohs surgery.
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and patient care protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, focused on patient comfort and education.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
  • Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by conducting initial assessments, obtaining medical history, and taking vital signs.
  • Assist surgeons during Mohs surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and supplies are ready and sterile.
  • Provide post-operative instructions and care guidance to patients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment abiding by safety and infection control protocols.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Coordinate scheduling and follow-up appointments for patients.
  • Educate patients about the procedure and answer any questions to alleviate concerns.
