This role is for an experienced process engineer in metal deposition technologies (PVD/CVD/ALD) with a Wafer Fab background. The engineer will use process and hardware knowledge to understand tool performance and operations, engage with customers to understand their roadmap, interpret the technology and service needs, and identify opportunities for service engagement and High Value Problems (HVP). They will work with the field service organization and service products development team to deliver service products, interface with customers to ensure clear understanding of issues and delivery of applicable service solutions, and work closely with customers and field service account teams to meet service agreement performance KPI’s. The role also involves resolving complex tool issues utilizing systematic troubleshooting methodology (DOEs, FDC, Analytics, etc.) and communicating learnings to strengthen service product offerings.

Requirements

  • Experienced process engineer in metal deposition technologies (PVD/CVD/ALD) with a Wafer Fab background.
  • Working knowledge of 1-2 unit processes.
  • BS – Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in metal deposition process.
  • Wafer Fab / Equipment experience.
  • Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience, may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.

Responsibilities

  • Use process and hardware knowledge to understand tool performance and operations.

  • Works with field service organization and service products development team to deliver service products to customers.
  • Interfaces with customers ensuring clear understanding of customer issues and delivery of applicable service solutions.
