About The Position

This specific role is for a Modified Cross Country Head Coach at Henninger for the Fall 2026 season. The district offers 120 athletic teams for students in grades 7-12, with a coaching staff of certified, dedicated individuals. The modified program (grades 7-8) emphasizes skill development, participation, discipline, enjoyment, competition, and the value of hard work, rather than winning. It serves as preparation for higher levels of high school competition, where academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship are stressed.

Valid First Aid course accepted as meeting NYS Coaching requirements
Valid Adult CPR certification accepted as meeting NYS Coaching requirements
