About The Position

The Syracuse City School District is seeking a dedicated and diverse team of educators to partner with its Superintendent in moving the district toward its goals. The district serves approximately 19,000 students Pre-K–12 across 35 schools and programs. The district offers 120 different athletic teams for students in grades 7-12, with a coaching staff of certified, dedicated individuals who enjoy working with student athletes. The modified program (grades 7-8) emphasizes skill development, participation, discipline, enjoyment, competition, and the value of hard work, preparing students for higher-level high school competition. High school teams (freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity) strive for success, focusing on the development of academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

Coach the Boys Varsity Cross Country team.
Develop student athletes' skills, academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
