About The Position

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Modification Technician to join its team in Duluth, Georgia. The role provides in-house modifications to electric motors according to customer specifications. The technician supports production and quality processes, helps meet on-time delivery goals, and performs work safely using required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of related experience.
• Strong mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written procedures.
• Ability to use and operate manual tools and power tools in hands-on applications.
• Understand and follow safety procedures.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Submit an updated resume and complete the company application to be considered.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage AC motors preferred.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP and other business software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modify electric motors according to customer specifications.
• Deliver finished products to the designated shipping area.
• Process completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.
• Support the Mod Shop Lead on projects to achieve on-time delivery goals.
• Perform tasks safely while using all necessary personal protective equipment.
• Complete daily equipment operation checklists.
• Complete daily cleaning assignments (5S).
