About The Position

The Modern Workplace Technician supports Signode’s IT environment and day-to-day workplace services as part of a cross-functional team. The role assists business users and supports applications, desktop and laptop device management, and related IT services. Working with senior team members, the technician helps establish and maintain a modern workplace, with emphasis on Microsoft cloud solutions, endpoint management, digital collaboration, user experience, mobility, and security. The position contributes to evaluating, testing, implementing, and supporting workplace technologies and collaboration tools. It also supports the administration and maintenance of Microsoft cloud services and endpoint tools, helps maintain service quality, security, compliance, and operational excellence, and maintains technical documentation and procedures. This is an office-based position in Tampa, with attendance in the office five days per week and travel to business unit locations throughout the EEU region as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two to three years of Information Technology experience, including experience as a Level 1 Technician in a customer service-focused support environment.
Troubleshooting and configuration skills for customer issues.
Ability to assist in developing standards for products of ownership.
Ability to conduct root-cause analysis for service interruptions and establish preventive measures.
Ability to follow standards, best practices, and Service Level Agreements between IT and the Business Infrastructure Services.
Basic O365, Active Directory, and Azure administration skills, including managing access permissions and licensing, users and computers, and mailbox and shared mailbox permissions.
Good knowledge of printer troubleshooting and Print Server administration.
VPN and MFA client installation and basic troubleshooting skills.
Basic PC desktop and laptop diagnostics and testing skills, including computer rebuilds, installations, and imaging.
Basic Microsoft OS and Office 365 troubleshooting skills.
Ability to provide remote support using tools such as LogMeIN, GoToMyPC, or TeamViewer.
Ability to operate within an ITIL framework and adhere to SOX compliance requirements.
Expected to work in the office five days per week.

Responsibilities

Help establish a modern workplace that supports digital collaboration, user experience, mobility, and security.
Contribute to identifying and evaluating emerging technologies, hardware, software, methods, and techniques for potential use in the digital workplace.
Assist with the design, testing, implementation, and adoption of workplace technologies and collaboration tools.
Collaborate with the team to implement and support Modern Workplace portfolio services in a managed services environment.
Work with team members to define, enhance, and deliver workplace services for business users.
Troubleshoot and configure workplace technologies, developing technical expertise to support evolving business needs.
Support administration, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft cloud services, endpoint management tools, and workplace technologies.
Help ensure service quality, security, compliance, and operational excellence across the workplace technology environment.
Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
Travel to business unit locations throughout the EEU region as needed.
Provide customer-focused IT support and help meet day-to-day support needs.
Conduct root-cause analysis for service interruptions and establish preventive measures.
Produce weekly status reports, follow ITIL practices, and adhere to SOX compliance requirements.
Help streamline hardware and software procurement.
