About The Position

The Modern Workplace Technician supports an efficient IT environment and helps meet day-to-day support needs as part of a cross-functional team delivering IT services across the organization. The role supports applications, desktop and laptop device management, and related IT services, working with senior team members to maintain an effective workplace environment. It contributes to the development and support of modern workplace services and technologies, with a focus on Microsoft cloud solutions and endpoint management tools. This is an office-based position requiring attendance in the office five days per week. Travel to business unit locations throughout the EEU region may be needed. The hourly wage ranges from $20.00 to $30.00, with the starting rate determined by experience, qualifications, and skillset. The company does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two to three years of experience in Information Technology, including experience as a Level 1 Technician in a customer service-focused support environment.
Troubleshooting and configuration skills for customer issues.
Ability to conduct root-cause analysis for service interruptions and establish preventive measures.
Ability to adhere to standards, best practices, and Service Level Agreements between IT and the business.
Basic Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure administration skills, including adding or removing permissions, access, licenses, users, computers, and mailbox or shared mailbox permissions.
Good knowledge of printers and troubleshooting, including Print Server administration.
Ability to install VPN and MFA clients and perform basic troubleshooting.
Basic PC desktop and laptop diagnostic and testing skills, including rebuilding, installing, and imaging client computers.
Basic troubleshooting skills for Microsoft operating systems and Office 365.
Ability to operate remotely using support tools such as LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, or TeamViewer.
Ability to produce weekly status reports and operate in an ITIL framework while adhering to SOX compliance needs.
Expected to work in the office five days per week.
Flexibility to travel to business unit locations throughout the EEU region as needed.

Responsibilities

Help establish a modern workplace environment focused on digital collaboration, user experience, mobility, and security.
Help identify and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, software, methods, and techniques for their relevance and potential value to the digital workplace.
Assist with the design, testing, implementation, and adoption of workplace technologies and collaboration tools.
Collaborate with the team to implement and support Modern Workplace portfolio services in a managed services environment.
Work with team members to define, enhance, and deliver workplace services that benefit business users.
Troubleshoot and configure customer issues, and develop technical expertise to design, deploy, and support solutions for evolving business needs.
Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft cloud services, endpoint management tools, and workplace technologies.
Help ensure service quality, security, compliance, and operational excellence across the workplace technology environment.
Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
Provide support remotely using tools such as LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, and TeamViewer.
Produce weekly status reports.
Operate within an ITIL framework and adhere to SOX compliance requirements.
Help streamline hardware and software procurement.
Travel to business unit locations throughout the EEU region as needed.
