2027 Modeling Simulation and Analysis Engineering Intern- Roy UT

Northrop Grumman•Roy, UT
•$23 - $36•Onsite

About The Position

Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineers for an internship with its Defense Systems Sector in Roy, Utah. The intern will join the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division’s Flight Systems Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis team, which is responsible for vehicle performance and flight assessment. Work may involve running three- and six-degree-of-freedom trajectory simulation tools, analyzing simulation results, developing algorithms for missile targeting software, implementing numerical methods, and working with other missile models. Trajectory simulations support applications such as payload-to-range analysis, post-boost vehicle maneuverability, weapon-system effectiveness, accuracy, vehicle-environment characterization, and flight-test predictions. Missile targeting software generates trajectory profiles for carrying out missions. The internship includes training, professional development, and networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, and remain enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
  • Major in or have majored in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.

Nice To Haves
