About The Position

NextGen Federal Systems is hiring Modeling and Simulation Engineers to support its growing Modeling and Simulation Engineering practice. The engineers will collaborate with Digital Engineering colleagues to solve complex technical tasks, develop expertise in and deploy modeling and analysis tools, and build a Digital Engineering career. The role focuses on developing and integrating models into the AFSIM simulation environment and creating operationally relevant military scenarios in collaboration with government teams, subject matter experts, and software engineering teams.

Requirements

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, plug-in development, C++, Visual Studio, and SysML.
• At least 2 years of operational analysis experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience modeling aircraft, sensors, radar, and other military craft.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate system models—including satellites, radars, aircraft, missiles, and command-and-control systems—into the AFSIM simulation environment.
• Collaborate with government teams and subject matter experts to identify requirements for implementation in AFSIM.
• Model AFSIM air, space, ground, and missile systems for inclusion in real-world system scenarios.
• Test and evaluate models via CI/CD for delivery.
• Craft and design military models for integration into AFSIM.
• Create and enhance operationally relevant scenarios that accurately represent actions, reactions, and interactions between entities in AFSIM simulations.
• Work with software engineering teams to create and enhance modeling and simulation solutions.
