About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer/Analyst to support analysis of high-fidelity tactical missile systems models and simulations at a customer site on Redstone Arsenal. The role involves developing and executing analytical studies, processing and evaluating large Monte Carlo simulation datasets, identifying factors that drive system behavior, and communicating technical findings to engineering teams and government customers. The successful candidate will independently structure engineering performance questions, determine the data needed to answer them, assess result validity, and provide clear conclusions and recommendations. The position includes developing Python and MATLAB tools for data extraction, reduction, statistical analysis, and visualization; analyzing sensor algorithms and end-to-end simulation performance; and conducting Monte Carlo parametric, sensitivity, and uncertainty studies under nominal and off-nominal conditions. The analyst will investigate unexpected results, inconsistent data, outliers, and model input/output issues, then prepare and present technically rigorous reports, briefing charts, and visualizations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work location is a customer site. Travel is 0–10%. Relocation assistance is not available, and the position is not contingent upon a contract award.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
B.S. degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, engineering analysis, modeling and simulation, or test analysis.
Demonstrated experience analyzing technical data to assess system, model, component, sensor, or simulation performance.
Experience using Python and MATLAB to process data, perform statistical analysis, create visualizations, or automate analysis tasks.
Ability to independently define an analytical problem, develop a logical analysis approach, identify required data, execute a study, and communicate conclusions.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, including evaluating assumptions, questioning results, identifying data limitations, and distinguishing meaningful findings from artifacts or unsupported conclusions.
Familiarity with statistical analysis concepts, including distributions, sampling, regression, correlation, confidence intervals, variability, and uncertainty.
Active Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience analyzing infrared (IR) and/or radio frequency (RF) sensor phenomenology and signatures.
Experience with C++, Fortran, or other programming languages.
Experience with software development and integration.

Responsibilities
