About The Position

The Model Based Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will drive culture and adoption of MBSE and Digital Engineering (DE) throughout the organization by promoting the use of MBSE/DE and providing training and support to the teams. This includes developing standard work and business operating procedures, creating formal processes for applying MBSE and DE within the program, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated system design and digital environment. The role also involves communicating complex engineering technical information to team members of various backgrounds and disciplines, and supporting Enterprise SEs to incorporate Model-based Systems Engineering practices and peer review SE program guidance. Requirements

  • Must have 10, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience (May be reduced with completion of advanced education)
  • Must have 5, or more, years of directly related systems engineering (or relevant experience)
  • Must have 6, or more, months of experience working in a management or leadership role
  • Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in IT or any STEM related field
  • Have knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (e.g. DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF)
  • Have knowledge of modeling languages (e.g. SySML, UML)
  • Have experience using model-based SE tools (DOORs, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.)
