Mobility Specialist I
About The Position
Paratransit, Inc. is seeking a full-time Mobility Specialist 1 to be based in their Sacramento, California office. This role involves teaching individuals how to use public transportation and conducting community outreach through presentations. The position requires daily use of public transportation, with the employee spending approximately 85% of their day in the field. Additionally, the role includes backup support for a Solano Eligibility contract, which involves traveling across Northern California in a company vehicle to conduct one-on-one ADA eligibility interviews, and also acting as backup for the Solano and Metro Hub Call Center.
Requirements
- Must be 21 Years old and over
- Must have a CA driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Computer skills including accurate typing, data entry, Word and Excel knowledge
- Four years of Customer Service Experience.
- Experience working with youth, seniors or people with disabilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to teach ideas, concepts, and skills
- Ability to travel long distances between bus stops and destinations
Nice To Haves
- Previous Apple product knowledge is a benefit but not required.
- ADA eligibility assessment experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide Travel Instruction to persons 16 years of age and older, including persons with disabilities
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate training records using Paratransit, Inc.’s software
- Conduct accurate and timely mobility intake assessments
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Lead group outreach presentations and trainings
- Using Public Transportation on a daily basis (this position is out in the field 85% of the day)
- Act as backup support for our Solano Eligibility contract, traveling to different locations across Northern California using a company provided vehicle to conduct one on one ADA eligibility interviews.
- Act as backup to our Solano and Metro Hub Call Center
