About The Position

This is a unique sales role where you will sell, install, and provide after-sale service/repair for mobility and accessibility products. You will be supported as you learn the functionality and benefits of our products and services. This role offers the opportunity to bring real joy to customers by assembling and installing customized mobility devices, giving them the freedom to live their best life. The ideal candidate will take an entrepreneurial approach to grow the client list and provide direct support, whether they have experience in the rehabilitation space, a track record of installing similar custom products, or are a recent graduate. Motion is Canada’s leading full-service mobility and accessibility solutions provider with over 40 years of experience serving communities across Canada. Our products include wheelchairs, walkers, mobility scooters, power lift recliners, lifting devices, homecare and adjustable beds, and bathroom safety items, ensuring independence, mobility, and safety for clients of all ages.

Requirements

  • Experience in a customer-facing sales and service position.
  • Comfort using a range of tools and equipment.
  • Experience assembling, building, or repairing.
  • Process-oriented and highly detailed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (in person or on the phone).
  • Ability to build relationships with team members and work in close partnership.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent role.
  • Empathy and respect in client interactions.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to client homes, schools, and hospitals throughout the region in a company vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds to move or repair equipment and devices.
  • Class 5 driver's license.
  • Clean criminal background check and be bondable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a Motion customer experience, ensuring client needs are met and the promise to make life accessible is fulfilled.
  • Drive to client sites daily, combining sales calls with product delivery and assembly.
  • Demonstrate and introduce clients to the equipment installed clearly and effectively.
  • Drive business by researching, making cold calls, and expanding the client base.
  • Ensure Motion is the top choice for mobility devices by building relationships and sharing expertise.
  • Pull from extensive inventory to demonstrate products and services to clients and their teams.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, therapists, caregivers, and healthcare facilities.
  • Nurture relationships and maintain contact, including check-ins and follow-up visits after device delivery.
  • Train with technicians to learn device functionality and basic mechanics.
  • Increase product knowledge to confidently demo and sell the best choices to clients.
  • Track all sales leads and client details in the CRM.
  • Craft business proposals and quotes, considering funding regulations and Motion's offerings.
  • Provide existing clients with Customer Value Plans to identify opportunities for added benefit to current devices and services.
