Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Albany, New York, including Schenectady, Troy, Amsterdam, Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules, an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day, and support from experienced veterinarians, mentors, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training are provided. Three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available; compensation varies by schedule. Four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Travel to appointments in Albany, NY, and surrounding communities.
- Work with families during meaningful end-of-life moments for their pets.
