About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Jersey Shore, New Jersey, including Toms River, Brick Township, Freehold, Manchester Township, Jackson Township, Howell Township, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules, an average of 3–4 unhurried appointments per day, and support from a community of veterinarians and support professionals. Support includes comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Full-time opportunities are available on 3-, 4-, and 5-day schedules; part-time opportunities are also available. Compensation varies by schedule. Four-day positions start at $117,500, and five-day positions offer a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
