About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls, New Paltz, Kingston, Highland, Hopewell Junction, Wappingers, Hyde Park, Saugerties, NY, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, ongoing training, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Three-, four-, and five-day full-time opportunities are available, as well as part-time opportunities. Compensation varies by schedule: four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions have a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day and part-time compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a post-hire background and motor vehicle record check before the associated start date.
