Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Jersey Shore, New Jersey, including Toms River, Brick Township, Freehold, Manchester Township, Jackson Township, Howell Township, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules, typically two to five days per week, and an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Full-time opportunities are available on three-, four-, and five-day schedules; part-time opportunities are also available. Compensation varies by schedule. Four-day positions start at $117,500, while five-day positions have a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Conduct mobile appointments in clients’ homes across the Jersey Shore service area.
- Work independently while participating in onboarding, mentorship, and support resources.
