About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Columbia, South Carolina, including Lexington, Chapin, West Columbia, Elgin, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules, an average of three to four un-rushed appointments per day, ongoing training, mentorship, and support from practice managers and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Three-, four-, and five-day full-time schedules are available, as well as part-time opportunities. Compensation varies by schedule: four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day and part-time roles offer prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates must undergo a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
- Travel to appointments in Columbia, Lexington, Chapin, West Columbia, Elgin, and surrounding areas.
- Be available to work some weekends.
