Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Frederick, Hagerstown, Maryland, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian will practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced-leader support, and access to a 24/7/365 Support Center. The role offers 3-, 4-, and 5-day schedule options, with an average of 3–4 appointments per day and time for unhurried care. Compensation depends on schedule: 4-day positions start at $117,500, and 5-day positions have a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in a mobile setting.
- Conduct an average of 3–4 appointments per day, allowing time for unhurried care.
